HSL Water Balloon DEATHMATCH (Sat, July 24th) 5:00 pm|az @ Folley Park

In a continuing mission to explore strange new fundraisers, HeatSync Labs will be holding an experimental team-based water balloon deathmatch game devised by the twisted mind of Your Humble Editor this Saturday at Frye Park in Chandler. Bring balloons and water guns and we'll sell the water for them. PROTIP: Also bring sunblock, drinking water, a hat, mosquito repellent, some basic knowledge of physics, cash for balloons and water weapon refills, and clothes you don't mind getting soaked or chalky. Stop by and burn some cash and calories with us!

PRICE: $5 per 20 balloons

HeatSync Labs in downtown Chandler is where the switches at this week, with a presentation on some switch-building projects involving chunks of wood and conductive ink on cloth will be presented on by our very own Rick Oooooo and friends. Anyone interested in learning about conductive ink or chunks of wood should definitely attend, as well as anyone that just wants to work on their own projects.

As always, t-shirts, membership subscriptions, and Make: magazine subscriptions will be available and hustled aggressively by our Board of Directors.

Don’t Forget: Arduino Night is This Wednesday!

Arduino Night (Wed) 7:00 pm|az @ Gangplank – Whatever table we commandeer

HeatSync Labs's new pad in downtown Chandler may currently look like the inside of a Jawa sandcrawler, but that doesn't mean we won't break the new place in with Arduino night this Wednesday. Come by and hack on Arduino boards with the HeatSync Labs and Gangplank crew this Wednesday night. Whether you’re just getting your feet wet in microcontrollers or are a closeted PIC controller programmer, you’ll have the company of a wide skill range of Arduino hackers to collaborate with, as well as some HSL laptops with the Arduino software preloaded.

As always, t-shirts, membership subscriptions, and Make: magazine subscriptions will be available and hustled aggressively by our Board of Directors.

HeatSync Labs is Movin’ on Up!

As some of you may know, Gangplank has been a pretty awesome benefactor of space to our mad scientist shenanigans, and they plan to relocate to downtown Chandler, where the cool kids will be hanging out from now on. They're taking us with them, but we need your help to move all our tools, equipment, and supplies over. The move will take place on the weekend of July 4th, starting Friday afternoon, because moving heavy equipment in hot weather is the best way to celebrate America! Lemonade and/or similar combinations of sugar and water may or may not be provided for hydration and energy.
