HeatSync Labs is a group for people with multifaceted interests beyond simply electronics and touches on everything from origami to space travel. Somewhere in between that range are open source web applications that troll internet superpowers for Great Justice. One of these, the Haystack Project, happens to have been created by a local HeatSync Labs member and was recently presented at the 2010 ACM Computers, Freedom, and Privacy Conference in San Jose, California earlier in June. This week, you'll be able to see that presentation delivered in Chandler, Arizona.
As always, t-shirts, membership subscriptions, and Make: magazine subscriptions will be available and hustled aggressively by our Board of Directors.

HeatSync Labs is making much use of Gangplank's space to bring you a new lineup of meetups and hacknights for you to work on projects and discuss the field of interest a project pertains to. These include:

- SyncFleet (The Final Frontier)
- Arduino (Well, ok, you already knew that one)

Plastics, unlike flying cars and Jupiter space stations, actually did become the future. This week, Bill Mar from Special Computing will be showing us how to make clear acrylic bend to our will, literally. You can make custom project encasements, modern furniture, and even a dock for your Nokia N900 Motorola Droid as seen in the picture above. Stop by and see how!

HSL BBQ (Sat, June 19th) 1:00 pm|az @ Gangplank – South Parking Lot
Join us for a preemptive Independence Day barbecue on Saturday, June 19th at Gangplank! There will be some hot dogs, burgers, and other BBQ staples to set ablaze on the altar of noms.
