HeatSync Labs is holding a special meeting this Thursday to discuss our future direction and the location that we will call our home in the near future. As good news spreads fast and you may have already heard, Gangplank is moving to a newer, bigger location in downtown Chandler, and we've been offered to come on down with them. In addition, the City of Chandler's Innovations incubator is also looking for tenants while a similar offer has been offered to us in downtown Phoenix by DA Therrein, the artist behind the Beautiful Light installment that HeatSync Labs members helped build for the Nuit Blanche festival in Toronto last year (more on that story later). More information on our options for a location are now on the wiki.

HeatSync Labs LAN Party: Now With Prizes and Fliers!
That's right girls and boys, our fundraiser LAN Party now includes some fabulous prizes (thanks to NXTGEN Networks) for the providers of the most pwnage, like these:
In addition, we'll have a decent assortment of four xbox 360 games to give away as door prizes, and with a 30-person limit on registration, your chances of winning are quite good. In addition, there will still be pizza and soda pop galore!
We also have some fliers you can download and print to spread the news [PDF], so feel free to put them on public places that are made for posting fliers and not police stations or seeing-eye dogs.

HeatSync Labs has a fun new toy that was recently donated to us. It uses the power of vacuums with space-age plastic materials to create a wide variety of stuff. Unlike our open-source-age RepRap though, this actually works molds things around other physical things rather than printing them out layer by layer in ABS. If this sounds like something you'd like to get your hands* on, stop on by and bring something you'd like to make a copy of!**

Hey everyone, as you might have noticed on our Board page, we currently have two positions that have been vacant since their previous officials resigned. As required in our bylaws, the officers of the Board must elect some replacements to fill the positions until the next general election.
We're asking for nominations for candidates for the office of Treasurer and Resource Manager. The descriptions of what responsibilities these offices entail can be found in the bylaws. All board officers must pay monthly dues, attend bi-weekly Board meetings, and are encouraged to walk around in lab coats. That's right kids, we're bringing in hellsummer with an epic day of pwange, pizza, and profiteering fund raising! Admission is only $20/player, $10/casual observer, giving you access to our professionally setup LAN with our very own game servers and reserved seat. Speaking of seats, there's only 30 of them, and they're expected to go fast, so register now and also help us choose what games to make servers for *cough* Star Trek: Elite Force 2 *cough*, and also who you want to sit next to.
But wait, there's more!
Your admission fee also pays for unlimited pizza and soda, like a buffet, but also with packet switching! Holy kaw!
PROTIP: There's a number of requirements our IT Directors are demanding and willing to enforce with the fury of OVER 9000 suns, so be sure to read them over when you register.

Whether you’re just getting your feet wet in microcontrollers or are a closeted PIC controller programmer, you’ll have the company of a wide skill range of Arduino hackers to collaborate with, as well as some HSL laptops with the Arduino software preloaded.
